Malisa Acharya wins 'Face of SY 2082 (Brand Ambassador Hunt)'

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 18 Malisa Acharya has won the 'Face of SY 2082 (Brand Ambassador Hunt)', a competition organised by SY Entertainment Pvt Ltd. According to the organiser, prizes worth more than Rs 2 crore were distributed during the grand finale held on Friday at Everest Hotel, Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Organised to promote the brands SY Panel, SY Cosmetic, SY Bazaar and SY UPVC, the competition is described as Nepal's first large-scale brand ambassador hunt. Speaking at the event, Bimal Raj Gosai, Director of SY Panel Nepal, said that the prize amount of the competition was higher than that of Nepal's Miss Nepal pageant. Three main brand ambassadors were selected during the programme. Title winner Malisa Acharya received Rs 5 lakh in cash along with a one-year contract worth Rs 1 crore. Sara Lama was declared the first runner-up, while Api Yonjan secured the second runner-up position. They received Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh in cash respectively, along with contracts worth Rs 50 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. The remaining seven finalists were awarded Rs 1.5 lakh each as Popularity Awards. The competition was conducted in phases. In the first phase, participants took part in a digital audition by creating videos based on the SY theme. From there, 500 participants advanced to the second phase, after which 25 contestants were selected for the final audition. In the final phase, participants were evaluated based on social networking engagement and judges' assessment. Both male and female contestants were eligible to participate. Participants were required to follow the Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages of SY Bazaar and SY Cosmetic and create creative videos. The organiser, SY Group of Companies, is a South Korea–based multinational company, with subsidiaries including SY Panel Nepal, SY Bazaar and SY Enterprises operating in Nepal.
