KATHMANDU, JANUARY 20 The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the submission of the original decision issued by the Office of the Attorney General regarding the revision of cases related to organized crime and money laundering against Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. A single bench, presided over by Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman, issued the order, seeking the original decision made by the Office of the Attorney General on January 14. The Supreme Court has instructed the Office of the Attorney General to submit the original file of the decision, including the reasons for revising the cases filed by various district government attorneys, along with any other evidence available in the cases. The Court has also summoned both parties to appear on January 22 to determine whether an interim order in the case is warranted. Earlier, Lamichhane faced cases related to embezzlement of cooperative funds, organized crime, and money laundering. The Office of the Attorney General had subsequently revised and withdrawn the cases concerning organized crime and money laundering against Lamichhane and other defendants.
