90 Nepalis deported from US arrive on chartered flight

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 21 Ninety Nepali citizens have been deported from the United States, the Department of Immigration has confirmed. Director General of the Department, Ram Chandra Tiwari said that the 90 deportees arrived in Kathmandu on a chartered flight. More than 400 Nepali nationals have been deported from the United States so far, he added. Those deported include individuals who lacked valid documents to live and work in the US, as well as those found to have violated immigration laws. The Nepal Police Bureau of Anti-Human Trafficking is conducting investigations into the cases. The Bureau has requested the deportees to file complaints if they were victims of human trafficking. Following the completion of the necessary investigations, the Bureau will hand them over to their respective families.
