Litmus launches skill improvement programme for electricians in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 21 Litmus Industries Limited has launched a Skill Improvement Programme (SIP) aimed at upgrading the technical skills and safety awareness of electricians, with the initial rollout taking place in Kathmandu. The 20-day training programme focuses on both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical work, including industrial wiring, motor control systems, earthing, lightning protection and generator installation. The initiative targets electricians who regularly use Litmus products. The programme is being conducted in collaboration with the Balaju School of Engineering and Technology, an institution affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The initiative was formally inaugurated through a signing ceremony between Litmus Industries Director Sakshi Gupta and Balaju School of Engineering and Technology Principal Sushil Kumar Shrestha. According to Litmus, the programme is designed to promote safer electrical practices and improve the quality of installations. The company said it plans to expand the training nationwide in future phases. Litmus Industries Limited is a domestic manufacturer of electrical wires, cables and conductors, supplying products to the Nepali market.
