KATHMANDU, JANUARY 23 With 41 days remaining for the House of Representatives (HoR) election, the Election Commission (EC) is set to allot election symbols to candidates later today. According to the EC, candidates may withdraw their nominations between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm today. The final list of candidates will be published between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, while election symbols will be distributed from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A total of 3,486 candidates have filed nominations across 165 constituencies nationwide. Nomination registration concluded simultaneously across the country on January 20. The HoR election is scheduled for March 5, with 165 members to be elected under the first-past-the-post system and 110 through proportional representation.
