KATHMANDU, JANUARY 23 The all-electric Mahindra XEV 9e has won the Green Car Award 2026 at the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) awards, Mahindra & Mahindra and its authorised distributor in Nepal, Agni Incorporated, announced on Thursday. The award recognises vehicles demonstrating excellence in environmental performance, energy efficiency and zero-emission technology. The ICOTY jury, comprising automotive journalists from India, selected the XEV 9e from a competitive field of electric vehicles based on innovation, sustainability and overall value. Agni Group said the recognition strengthens the vehicle's credibility in the Nepali market as demand for electric mobility continues to grow. The XEV 9e is built on Mahindra's INGLO electric platform and features a high-capacity battery system, regenerative braking and sustainably sourced interior materials.
