KATHMANDU, JANUARY 24 The Election Commission (EC) has said that printing of 15 million ballot papers for the proportional representation (PR) system has been completed, with five million still remaining. Ballot printing began on January 16 at the Janak Education Material Centre. The EC said printing of ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system will start after completion of PR ballot printing, adding that the final list of FPTP candidates has already been finalised. The EC has published the names of 3,406 candidates contesting the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5. Election symbols were distributed to candidates on Friday. A set of voters' name lists has also been printed and dispatched to all districts for nomination purposes.
