KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 11 Nepathya, Nepal's premier folk-rock band, currently touring across four cities, enthralled audiences in Chitwan with music that carries powerful messages. In a press statement, Nepalaya, the band's management company, said, 'The band captivated a full-house Campa Caur audience with a seamless blend of classic hits and new compositions.' Following their successful concerts in Hetauda and Butwal, the band opened the Narayanghat show with their smashing hit 'Ho Rama Rama' and continued to perform one popular song after another for two hours, keeping the full-house audience spellbound. Amid the performances, frontman Amrit Gurung paused to reflect on the source waters of the Saptagandaki, which eventually merge into the nearby Narayani, vividly evoking the landscapes of the Gandaki region and its majestic surrounding Himalayas. He urged the audience not to miss the opportunity to explore their homeland and engage deeply with its natural and cultural treasures.
Gurung also treated the crowd to 'Shirphool la Siri Mai,' a song inspired by the Dhaulagiri region, celebrating the beauty of snow-capped peaks and forested hills. Beyond music, he appealed for philanthropy and concluded with an emotional rendition of 'Yo Jindagani,' leaving the audience both moved and inspired, the statement said. On stage, Amrit was supported by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards, as is customary for the band. For the final concert of this tour, Nepathya has already headed to the picturesque hill town of Bandipur. On the evening of Fagun 2-Valentine's Day-the historic Tundikhel grounds there are set to resonate with the soulful sounds of Nepali folk-rock. To ensure audience convenience, arrangements have been made for direct online ticketing. Seats can be reserved through Nepathya's official website, www.nepathya.com.np, offering a seamless booking experience, according to the statement.
