KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 16 Nepathya, Nepal's renowned folk-rock band, wrapped up the first leg of their 2026 Nepal tour with a mesmerizing concert in Bandipur, famously known as the 'Queen of Hills' in Tanahun district. Nestled in the foothills, Bandipur is one of the oldest settlements of the ethnic Newar community. Following successful shows in Hetauda, Butwal, and Narayanghat, the band enthralled a full-house audience in Bandipur with a seamless blend of their classic hits and new compositions. Making a deliberate effort to highlight local folk traditions, Nepathya captivated the audience with 'Jogale Hunchha Bhet,' a song rooted in the traditional folk melody 'Kauda.' As the show progressed, lead singer Amrit Gurung shared, 'Since today is Valentine's Day, memories of my college days are flooding back. I am delighted to present to you the very first song I ever wrote for Nepathya, composed during our youth.'

He then performed 'Aaganai Bhari,' one of the band's smash hits since their inception. The band performed non-stop for two hours, delivering a total of 17 songs. Their concert concluded with 'Rato Ra Chandrasurya,' a stirring tribute to the national flag. On stage, Amrit was supported, as always, by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.
