KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 19 Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has urged voters to actively participate in the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, stating that all necessary security arrangements have been fully completed. Addressing a meeting of the Central Security Committee today, Minister Aryal said the elections would be conducted in a robust and secure environment. He expressed confidence that the polls would take place on the scheduled date with the support and coordination of all stakeholders. During the meeting, chiefs of the three security agencies and office-bearers of the District Security Committees briefed the Home Minister on the overall security preparedness, noting that district-specific security strategies would be implemented in phases. According to the Home Minister's Secretariat, discussions focused on the execution of the central security strategy and the overall preparations for the March 5 polls. On the occasion, Minister Aryal reviewed the election preparedness and district-level security strategies with members of the Central Security Committee, principal secretaries from all seven provinces, and chief district officers from the 77 districts.
