KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 22 At least 22 passengers were injured when a bus met with an accident along the East-West Highway at Bijauna in Manahari Rural Municipality-7 of Makwanpur district on Sunday morning. According to the Makwanpur District Police Office, the passenger bus (Ba 06–001 Kh 0054) en route from Birgunj to Chitwan went out of control and rammed into an electric pole on the left side of the road. Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson Pushkar Bogati said 22 passengers sustained injuries in the incident. Police personnel rescued the injured and sent them to Chitwan Hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway. (With inputs from RSS)
