KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25 The Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms Nepal (SCAEF Nepal) has launched a four-day Primavera P6 Intermediate Training programme aimed at strengthening project management capacity in Nepal's consulting and construction sectors. The training, organised in collaboration with the Construction Business Development Implementation Committee and the Federation of Contractors' Association of Nepal, is being held from February 24 to 27 at Hotel Crystal Pashupati in Gaushala. According to the organisers, the programme has drawn participation from engineers, project managers, planners, contract managers and technical officers from consulting firms, construction companies and concerned government departments.

SCAEF Nepal said the initiative forms part of its broader effort to enhance technological and managerial capacity within the country's consulting industry. With infrastructure projects becoming increasingly complex, effective planning, scheduling and cost management are critical to ensuring timely completion and quality delivery, it stated. Participants are receiving hands-on training in Work Breakdown Structure development, activity definition, network analysis, resource loading, progress tracking and performance evaluation using Primavera P6 software. The organisers expressed confidence that the training would help address persistent issues such as project delays and cost overruns by improving technical competencies across the sector.
