186,000 temporary voters to cast PR ballots

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 26 A total of 186,000 temporary voters will cast their ballots under the proportional representation (PR) system in the upcoming House of Representatives elections. According to the Election Commission Nepal, temporary voters include government employees, security personnel, inmates and officials deployed on election duty who are unable to vote at their original polling centres. Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC said 143 polling stations have been designated nationwide for temporary voters to exercise their franchise under the PR system.
