MetLife Nepal opens new offices in Syangja and Chandrauta

KATHMANDU, MARCH 4 MetLife Nepal has expanded its nationwide presence with the inauguration of two new agency offices in Syangja, Gandaki Province, and Chandrauta, Lumbini Province. The company said the new offices are aimed at making insurance services more accessible to individuals, families, and businesses in the respective regions. Customers will be able to access policy consultation, application support, premium collection, and customer service assistance locally, reducing the need to travel to larger urban centers. MetLife Nepal General Manager Nirmal Kajee Shrestha said the expansion aligns with the company's objective of helping more Nepalis secure financial protection and plan confidently for the future. MetLife has been operating in Nepal since 2001 as a branch of American Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of MetLife, Inc.. Globally, MetLife operates in more than 40 markets, providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits, and asset management services. The company stated that the new offices form part of its broader strategy to expand outreach and strengthen financial resilience across communities throughout Nepal.
