45% voter turnout recorded in Karnali by 3:00 pm

KATHMANDU, MARCH 5 Around 45.2 percent voter turnout was recorded in Karnali Province by 3:00 pm during the ongoing House of Representatives election, according to the Provincial Election Office in Surkhet. Information Officer Nanda Ram Chaulagain said the highest turnout was recorded in Dolpa at 59.42 percent, followed by Mugu (55.42%), Humla (52.91%), Rukum West (50.61%), Jajarkot (49.75%), Jumla (47.67%), Kalikot (42.64%) and Salyan (38.45%). In Surkhet Constituency-1, turnout reached 48.25 percent, while Surkhet-2 recorded 46.11 percent. Similarly, Dailekh-1 recorded 37.33 percent and Dailekh-2 recorded 35.27 percent. Out of a total 1,037,250 registered voters in Karnali Province, 468,425 voters had cast their ballots by 3:00 pm, the office said.
