RSP leading early trends in Nepal election

By THT Online

KATHMANDU, MARCH 6 Early election trends from the ongoing vote counting in Nepal indicate a strong lead for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), according to preliminary vote counts circulating in early updates. Based on the initial trend data, RSP is leading in 42 seats, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) (CPN-UML), Nepali Congress, and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) are each leading in five seats. The early trends suggest a significant surge in support for RSP compared to other major parties. Political observers say that if the current trend continues, the party could emerge as the largest force in parliament. However, these figures represent early trends only, and the final results will depend on the completion of vote counting across constituencies. The elections results are being closely watched as they could reshape Nepal's political landscape and determine the composition of the next federal government.
