RSP wins 1 seats, leads in 52 as Election Commission posts early results from 69 of 165 constituencies

KATHMANDU, MARCH 6 The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)has won 1 seat and is leading in 52 more constituencies, according to early results posted on the Election Commission of Nepal's official portal covering 69 of the 165 House of Representatives constituencies as vote counting continues Friday. The Nepali Congress has won 1 seat and leads in 6. The CPN-UML has yet to win a seat but leads in 4 constituencies. The Nepali Communist Party leads in 3, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party leads in 1, and Shram Sanskriti Party leads in 1. The data, based on vote tallies from counting centres, is preliminary and subject to change as counting progresses across the remaining constituencies. The results so far confirm the broad trend visible throughout Friday, the RSP commanding a dominant lead in the early count, with established parties trailing significantly behind.
