Mahabir Pun elected to HoR from Myagdi-1 as independent candidate

MYAGDI, MARCH 7 Independent candidate Mahabir Pun has been elected to the House of Representatives from Myagdi-1. According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Pun secured 28,850 votes to win the constituency. His closest rival, Hari Krishna Shrestha of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), received 7,919 votes, while Karna Bahadur Bhandari of the Nepali Congress obtained 6,884 votes. Arjun Thapa of the Nepal Communist Party secured 3,529 votes. A total of 46,215 votes were cast out of 86,397 registered voters in the House of Representatives election held on Thursday.
