RSP marching towards clear majority

RSP wins 24 out of 31 seats with a lead of 93, Nepali Congress four, NCP two, and UML one until 9:45 am

KATHMANDU, MARCH 7 The results of the House of Representatives elections are still coming in. The final results for 30 constituencies were announced at 9:40 am today (Saturday). According to the election commission's most recent results announcement, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won 24 seats, the Nepali Congress has won four, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has won two, and the CPN-UML has won one out of 31 constituencies. 24 WINS FOR THE RSP CHITWAN-2 In Chitwan-2, RSP President Rabi Lamichhane won by a large margin. He garnered 54,402 votes. Meena Kharel, his closest rival, received 14,564 votes. The margin between Lamichhane and Kharel is 39,838 votes. KATHMANDU-2 Sunil KC of RSP won Kathmandu-2 with 34238 votes, according to the election commission. His closest rival, Kabir Sharma of the Nepali Congress, received 8,874 votes, while Kunti Devi Pokharel of the Rastriya Prajantantra Party (RPP) took third place with 5,210 votes. KATHMANDU-1 Ranju Darshana of the RSP won the Kathmandu-1 election. She garnered 15,455 votes. Her closest rival, Prabal Thapa of the Nepali Congress, received 6,364 votes. KATHMANDU-3 Rajunath Pandey of the RSP defeated Kulman Ghising, president of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, in the Kathmandu-3 seat. He won by receiving 18,757 votes. Kulman came in second place with 11,171 votes. KATHMANDU-4 Pukar Bam, the RSP candidate in Kathmandu-4, has won. He won with a margin of 20,318 votes. He received 29,142 votes, while his closest competitor, Nepali Congress candidate Sachin Timalsena, received 8,824 votes. KATHMANDU-5 Sasmit Pokharel of the RSP won in Kathmandu-5 with 30,737 votes. His nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Pradip Poudel, received 9,159 votes. KATHMANDU-6 Shishir Khanal, the RSP candidate in Kathmandu-6, won. He won with 27,719 votes. He had previously won in the same constituency. His closest rival, the Nepali Congress' Krishna Baniya Chhetri, received 6,647 votes. Aman Kumar Maskey of CPN-UML received 4,373 votes. KATHMANDU-7 Ganesh Parajuli of the RSP won in Kathmandu-7. He triumphed with 27,805 votes. His closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Pramod Hari Guragain, is in second place with 3,982 votes. KATHMANDU-8 RSP candidate Biraj Bhakta Shrestha won Kathmandu-8 with 24,592 votes. Suman Sayami, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate, received 3,217 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Sapana Rajbhandari received 2,835 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Rajesh Shakya and RPP candidate Navin Shahi each received 1,909 votes. KATHMANDU-9 DP Aryal, the RSP Vice President, won Kathmandu-9. He triumphed by 29,633 votes. He garnered 35,093 votes. His closest rival, Nanu Maiya Bastola of the Nepali Congress, received 5,460 votes. KATHMANDU-10 RSP candidate Pradeep Bista has won Kathmandu-10. Bista received 37,469 votes, as reported by the Election Commission. He defeated his closest competitor, Himal Karki of the Nepali Congress, by 29,369 votes. Karki received 8100 votes in total. Binod Shrestha of the CPN-UML is ranked third, with 4,864 votes. BHAKTAPUR-1 In Bhaktapur-1, the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party's (NMKP) legacy has been shattered for the first time. RSP candidate Rukesh Ranjit has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Bhaktapur-1 with 33,436 votes. He defeated NMKP candidate Prem Suwal by 5,289 votes. Suwal, the closest competitor, received 28,147 votes. Except for NMKP, no one has secured a seat in Bhaktapur-1 until now. Kiran Neupane of the Nepali Congress finished third with 4,282 votes, while CPN-UML's Som Misr received 3,721 votes. Since 1991, NMKP has won continuously in Bhaktapur-1. BARA-3 Arvind Sah of the RSP won the Bara-3 constituency with 40,697 votes, while his closest rival, Farmullah Mansur of the Nepali Congress, received 10,052. Rambabu Kumar Yadav of the Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal finished third with 6,884 votes. PARSA-1 Budhi Prasad Pant of the RSP won the Parsa constituency-1 with 27,274 votes. His closest rival, Pradip Yadav of the CPN-UML, received 13,030 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Anil Kumar Rangata received 11,885. MAHOTTARI-1 Pramod Kumar Mahato of the RSP triumphed in Mahottari-1. He won by a total of 22,120 votes. Mahato obtained 34,636 votes. According to the Election Commission, his nearest rival, NCP candidate Girirajmani Pokharel, received 12,624 votes. DHANUSHA-3 Manish Jha, the RSP spokesperson, won Dhanusha 3. He received 43,988 votes. Jha defeated Bimalendra Nidhi, former Nepali Congress General Secretary, with 27,652 votes. Nidhi garnered 16,336 votes. RUPANDEHI-4 Kanhaiya Baniya of the RSP won Rupandehi 4 by 28,066 votes. Pramod Kumar Yadav of the CPN-UML, his closest competitor, received 20,262 votes. SYANGJA-1 Dhananjay Regmi of the RSP emerged victorious in Syangja-1. He won by 10,214 votes over his nearest competitor. Regmi garnered 29,071 votes. According to the Election Commission, his nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Bharatraj Dhakal, received 18,857 votes. BANKE-1 Suresh Kumar Chaudhary of the RSP emerged victorious in Banke 1. Chaudhary received 32,792 votes. His closest rival, the Nepali Congress' Narayan Prasad Gaudel, received 15,301 votes. BANKE-3 In Banke-3, Khagendra Sunar of the RSP won. He got 29,551 votes. He defeated his closest competitor, Suman Malla of the CPN-UML, by a margin of 9,936 votes. KASKI-2 Uttam Prasad Poudel of the RSP won the Kaski-2 election. He won by a margin of 24,418 votes. He garnered 31,911 votes. Rashmi Acharya, a CPN-UML candidate, came in second with 7,493 votes. KASKI-3 Bina Gurung of the RSP has been elected to Kaski-3. She won the election with 37,750 votes. Her closest competitor, Manoj Gurung of the Nepali Congress, received 12,780 votes, with CPN-UML candidate Damodar Poudel 'Bairagi' coming in third with 7,906 votes. MORANG-4 Santosh Rajbanshi of the RSP has been elected to Morang-4. He won with 40,833 votes. Her closest competitor, Gururaj Ghimire of the Nepali Congress, received only 12,818 votes. MORANG-6 Rubina Acharya of the RSP prevailed in Morang-6. The Election Office reported that she won with 55,513 votes. Shekhar Koirala of the Nepali Congress is the nearest competitor here. He accumulated 12,850 votes. FOUR WINS FOR THE NEPALI CONGRESS MANANG Tek Bahadur Gurung, the Nepali Congress candidate, won in Manang. He has 2,415 votes, while his closest rival, CPN-UML candidate Yashoda Subedi Gurung, has 454 votes. MUSTANG Yogesh Gauchan Thakali, a Nepali Congress candidate, has been elected in Mustang. He obtained 3,307 votes. His closest competitor, CPN-UML candidate Indradhara Dadu Bista, received 1,806 votes. TEHRATHUM Santosh Subba of the Nepali Congress won in Tehrathum. He received 11,561 votes, while his closest competitor, Bhanubhakta Dhakal of the CPN-UML, received 10,682 votes. DAILEKH-1 Basna Thapa of the Nepali Congress won in Dailekh-1. She won the election with 12,372 votes. Her closest competitor, Rabindra Raj Sharma of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), received 11,796 votes. TWO WINS FOR THE NEPALI COMMUNIST PARTY (NCP) RUKUM EAST Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Nepali Communist Party's (NCP) coordinator in Rukum East, has won. He received 10,240 votes. Lilamani Gautam of the CPN-UML is his closest competitor, with 3,462 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Kusumdevi Thapa has 3,081 votes. KALIKOT Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, the NCP candidate in Kalikot, won. He won with a margin of 986 votes. Shahi has 11,338 votes, while his closest competitor, Nagindra Shahi of the CPN-UML, has 10,352 votes. ONE WIN FOR THE CPN-UML The CPN-UML has claimed its first victory in the ongoing vote counting for the House of Representatives elections. Mohammad Istiyak Rai of the CPN-UML has won the Banke Constituency-2. He defeated his closest rival, RSP's Bivek Kumar Shrestha, by a margin of 5,946 votes. Rai received 24,628 votes, while Shrestha from the RSP received 18,682 votes.
