KATHMANDU, MARCH 8 The Election Commission (EC) has made the decision to withhold the election results for Dhanusha-1 constituency. As per the commission's directive, a letter was dispatched today to the office of the Election Officer for Dhanusha District Constituency No. 1, as informed by Section Officer (Law) Arun Adhikari. The commission had previously decided to annul the candidacy of Kishori Sah 'Kamal', the candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for Dhanusha Constituency No. 1, on March 2 after uncovering evidence that his name appeared on the blacklist of the credit information centre. Given that the matter concerning this decision is currently under review by the Supreme Court, the commission's latest directive requests that the results of the first-past-the-post election for Dhanusha Constituency No. 1 remain unannounced until the court issues an order. The letter was sent to the Provincial Election Office for notification, asking it to relay the information to the appropriate Election Officer's office and to keep the commission updated, according Adhikari.
