KATHMANDU, MARCH 12 Krishna Thapa, central committee (CC) member and Kaski district in charge of the CPN (UML), died of a heart attack this afternoon. Bain Bahadur Adhikari Chhetri, district committee chairman of CPN (UML) Kaski, confirmed that Thapa collapsed while delivering a speech at a party meeting today and was rushed to Manipal Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Thapa had previously been elected Mayor of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City in the local elections held in 2054 BS and later served as a member of the Gandaki Province Assembly following the 2074 BS elections.
