Gold price drops by Rs 4,800 per tola as Chaitra begins

KATHMANDU, MARCH 15 The price of fine gold in the domestic market declined by Rs 4,800 per tola on Sunday, the first day of the Nepali month of Chaitra. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 309,400 per tola today. The precious metal was priced at Rs 314,200 per tola on Friday. Similarly, the price of silver also fell with the start of the new month. Silver is being traded at Rs 5,270 per tola on Sunday, down by Rs 225 per tola from Rs 5,495 per tola on Friday.
