Prez Paudel observes Ghode Jatra in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, MARCH 18 President Ramchandra Paudel attended a special ceremony organized by the Nepal Army on the occasion of Ghode Jatra 2082 at Sainik Manch, Tundikhel, today. On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepal Army presented a ceremonial salute in his honour. The ceremony was also attended by Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, along with ministers, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions, and other high-ranking officials. During the event, Nepal Army teams showcased various equestrian performances, including horse racing, show jumping, charger horse displays, demonstrations of the historical use of horses, mock combat sequences, and fire jumping. The programme also featured pageantry involving horse-drawn carriages and illustrated the use of horses in travel, agriculture, hunting, warfare, festivals, and sports. Additionally, trained dogs performed a range of artistic routines. At the function, President Paudel presented awards to participants for outstanding performances.
