Nepali team leaves for World Junior Wushu Championship in China

KATHMANDU, MARCH 22 A 10-member Nepali team, including six athletes, departed for China on Saturday to participate in the 10th World Junior Wushu Championship. The team was bid farewell by Nepal Olympic Committee President and former minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Secretary General Rajiv Shrestha, Nepal Wushu Federation President Bir Bahadur Tamang, and Secretary General and NOC Board Member Lhakpa Tsering Lama, who extended best wishes for success. The athletes representing Nepal are Rashmi Tamang, Girish Poudel, Lhakpa Dolma Lama, Sara Tamang, Samrat Thapa and Chhiring Sherpa. The coaching team comprises Lanam Lama and Jung Bahadur Tamang, while Manjur Maharjan and Govinda Bahadur Shahi will serve as judges. The championship, scheduled from March 22 to March 30, will also serve as a qualifier for the Dakar Youth Olympic Games.
