Four killed as tipper plunges off road in Palpa

PALPA, MARCH 22 Four people were killed after a tipper truck plunged about 50 metres off the road in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality–7 of Palpa on Saturday evening. The accident occurred along the Jhadeva–Rahabas road section while the vehicle was en route to the Rahabas limestone quarry from Jhadeva, according to police. District Police Office Information Officer Hom Prakash Chaudhary said three victims died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries during treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College. The deceased have been identified as Chinta Bahadur Sunar, 26, and Sunil BK, 26, of Shitganga Municipality–4, Arghakhanchi; Sunil Nepali, 26, of Devdaha Municipality–2, Rupandehi; and Rajan Chidi, 33, of Tansen Municipality–10, Palpa. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
