KATHMANDU, MARCH 23 The 27th Flora Expo concluded in Kathmandu on Sunday, attracting more than 60,000 visitors and generating business worth Rs 12.2 million. Organised by the Floriculture Association of Nepal at Bhrikutimandap, the four-day event was held under the theme 'Floriculture for Clean Environment, Employment and Economic Prosperity.' According to the organisers, the expo featured 65 commercial, 11 official and two competitive stalls. The floriculture sector currently spans around 270 hectares across 52 districts and provides employment to over 53,500 people, with total investment exceeding Rs 8.8 billion. Bagmati Province Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Madhusudan Paudel had inaugurated the expo, expressing commitment to support the sector's growth.
