'Jau Hai Pokhara' campaign launched to attract domestic tourists

Promotional drive targets eastern cities ahead of New Year tourism season

KATHMANDU, MARCH 23 The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Pokhara, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Gandaki Province Office, has launched a promotional campaign aimed at boosting domestic tourism. The campaign, titled 'Jau Hai Pokhara,' is being conducted across eastern cities including Birgunj, Hetauda, Biratnagar and Ilam, and will continue until March 27. HAN Pokhara Chairman Laxman Subedi said the programme includes interactions with tourism entrepreneurs, promotional activities and publicity campaigns to attract visitors to Pokhara. Attractive travel packages targeting domestic tourists will also be unveiled during the campaign. Meanwhile, HAN Pokhara is preparing to organise the 21st edition of the Fewa Mahotsav on the occasion of the Nepali New Year. NTB Gandaki Chief Mani Raj Lamichhane said such collaborative initiatives have helped promote tourism activities in various cities. (With inputs from RSS)
