KATHMANDU, MARCH 25 Bird flu has been detected in five poultry farms in Morang district, raising concerns over its spread in commercial poultry. The infection was confirmed in chickens at Dahal Agro Farm, Haleshi Mahadev Farm, Athiyabari Farm, A to Z Farm and Kamakhya Poultry Farm, according to the Veterinary Laboratory in Biratnagar. Authorities have initiated culling procedures, including the destruction of infected birds, eggs, feed and related materials. Officials said farmers have been regularly bringing dead poultry for testing, with 45 out of 198 samples collected since last July testing positive.
