KATHMANDU, MARCH 25 President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday administered the oath of office and secrecy to senior-most House of Representatives (HoR) member Arjun Narsingh KC at a program held at Shital Niwas. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, along with ministers, newly elected lawmakers, senior officials and security chiefs were present on the occasion. KC, 78, was sworn in ahead of the convening of the new parliamentary session following the March 5 HoR elections. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, KC will administer the oath to the remaining 274 members on Thursday and will chair House proceedings until a new Speaker is elected.
