KATHMANDU, MARCH 25 The National Sports Council (NSC) has suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) for three months. According to a letter issued by the NSC on Wednesday, the ANFA Executive Committee has been placed under suspension for the stated period. The decision was taken on the grounds of ANFA's failure to comply with directives issued under the National Sports Development Act, 2077, and the National Sports Development Regulations, 2079, as well as its non-implementation of key decisions and disregard for prevailing legal provisions. The NSC stated that the action became necessary after ANFA proceeded with its election process without obtaining prior approval from the Council and failed to conduct its activities in accordance with the law.
