NOC Hikes Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene Prices by Rs 15 per Litre

KATHMANDU, MARCH 25 The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products. According to NOC, the prices of petrol, kerosene, and diesel have been raised by Rs 15 per litre, effective from midnight today. The last price adjustment was made on March 15. Following the latest revision, petrol prices now stand at Rs 184.50 per litre in the first category, Rs 186 in the second category, and Rs 187 in the third category. Similarly, diesel and kerosene will be sold at Rs 164.50 per litre in the first category, Rs 166 per litre in the second category, and Rs 167 per litre in the third category. The first category includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, and Birgunj. Surkhet and Dang fall under the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal are included in the third category. The NOC clarified that the price hike was necessary to align domestic petroleum prices with the recent increases in the international market.
