KATHMANDU, MARCH 26 Newly elected members of the House of Representatives (HoR) are set to take the oath of office and secrecy today. Senior-most member Arjun Narsingh KC will administer the oath to fellow lawmakers at 2:00 pm, according to Federal Parliament Secretariat spokesperson Ekram Giri. KC was sworn in by Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday. The oath-taking ceremony will be held at the newly constructed multi-purpose hall in Singha Durbar. A total of 47 lawmakers have registered to take the oath in their mother tongues, with 17 opting for Maithili, the Secretariat said. In the March 5 elections, the Rastriya Swatantra Party emerged as the largest party with 182 seats, followed by the Nepali Congress with 38 seats and the CPN-UML with 25 seats.
