KATHMANDU, MARCH 30 Chairperson of the Shram Sanskriti Party, Harka Sampang, has filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police against an individual for allegedly issuing death threats via social media. Sampang, who also serves as a Member of Parliament in the incumbent government, stated that a TikTok account under the name 'Sunita Khadka' sent him messages threatening to kill him and his family and to set his house on fire. In a post on his social media account, he further alleged that the individual behind the account used abusive language and disseminated misleading information across platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. 'Threats have been made to kill me and my family, as well as to burn down my house. Abusive language has been used on social media, and misleading information has been spread in society. I urge strict legal action under the prevailing laws of Nepal,' he said in a statement shared on social media.
