KATHMANDU, MARCH 31 A serpentine road stretching from Bhojpur bazaar via Kotdanda to Behere Dobhan along the Pikhuwa River has increasingly drawn domestic tourists for its striking landscape views. Located in Bhojpur Municipality-12, the roughly 13-kilometre road winds through steep hills with dozens of bends, forming a snake-like pattern that has become a visual highlight for visitors. The route, built to connect remote settlements with the district headquarters, has also eased daily life for locals by replacing hours-long walks with vehicle access. Beyond its scenic appeal, the road has improved transport of agricultural produce such as potatoes, maize, ginger and fruits, directly benefiting farmers and boosting local trade. Surrounded by lush greenery, hills and the flowing Pikhuwa River, the area offers picturesque views, especially during morning mist and evening sunlight, making it popular for photography and short trips. Locals say that with basic infrastructure such as rest areas, viewpoints and information boards, along with better promotion, the Bhojpur–Behere road could develop into a notable tourism destination beyond its transport role.
