All-party meeting called ahead of Federal Parliament session

KATHMANDU, MARCH 31 The Federal Parliament Secretariat has called an all-party meeting on Wednesday ahead of the joint session of Parliament scheduled for April 2. According to Parliament Secretariat spokesperson Eakram Giri, the meeting will begin at 1:00 pm, with invitations extended to all parties represented in the Federal Parliament. The HoR comprises six nationally recognized political parties. President Ramchandra Paudel has summoned the joint session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on March 30, scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm on April 2. The upcoming session, the first since the House of Representatives (HoR) elections in 2026, is expected to initiate proceedings including the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
