Portugal to open consular office in Kathmandu

By THT Online

KATHMANDU, APRIL 4 The Portugal government has announced plans to establish a consular office in Kathmandu, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and improve service access for Nepali nationals. Once operational, the office will allow Nepalis to access services such as visa processing and document authentication without travelling to New Delhi. The move follows a recent telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and his Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel, during which issues faced by over 2,000 Nepalis in Portugal were discussed.
