13 arrested with illegal drugs from multiple locations across country

KATHMANDU, APRIL 5 Nepal Police have arrested 13 individuals from various districts on charges of possessing illegal drugs. In Kathmandu, Samrat KC, 26, was arrested from Naikap with 1,586 tablets of controlled drug Tramadol. In Morang, police arrested Yogendra Tungahang, 43, and Kamal Dahal, 44, with large quantities of controlled substances including Spaspen, Promethazine, Tramadol, Nitrazepam, suspected brown sugar, cannabis, and a digital weighing scale. Similarly, in Jhapa, Manraj Rai, 32, and Khagendra Gautam, 19, were arrested with suspected brown sugar. In Banke, Santram Chauhan, 32, and Bhola Loniya, 30, were arrested with suspected brown sugar, while another group including Sumer Shesh, 21, and three others were detained with over 141 grams of the substance. In Kailali, Rohan BK, 19, and Uttam Saud, 20, were arrested with suspected brown heroin. Police said further investigation into all cases is ongoing.
