MoFA briefs Ministers on 'Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Code of Conduct'

KATHMANDU, APRIL 8 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) delivered a presentation to the Council of Ministers of the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah on the 'Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Code of Conduct'. According to Deepa Dahal, Press Expert to the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai presented at a programme held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. Secretary Rai provided a comprehensive overview of the international landscape, Nepal's foreign relations, the promotion of national interests, and the broader framework of the country's foreign policy. He also elaborated on the procedures, limitations, and diplomatic norms to be observed in the conduct of foreign affairs. In his presentation, Secretary Rai placed particular emphasis on the priorities of Nepal's foreign policy, the need to maintain a balanced approach in international relations, and the technical dimensions of diplomatic protocol. Additionally, ministers were briefed on matters ranging from general etiquette to the mandatory requirements of diplomatic protocol during engagements with foreign officials.
