Action sought KATHMANDU: Women for Human Rights, single women group (WHR) on Wednesday showed its serious concern toward the ‘violent and intolerable act’ of the CA member Badshah Kurmi, who physically abused Nirmala Kurmi, a widow, over property issue. In a press statement, WHR urged the government to probe into the case punish the guilty. Kurmi seized her house, land ownership paper and citizenship card after the death of her husband and two sons. Truck hits one KATHMANDU: Irate locals set ablaze a truck after it hit a motorcycle in Koteshwor on Wednesday. Biker Sunil Subedi, hailing from Imadol of Lalitpur, broke his left leg when the truck ran him down. Police Inspector Sitaram Hachhethu, in-charge, Metropolitan Traffic Police Sector in Koteshwor, said vehicular movement went out of gear for an hour following the incident. The police have taken hold of the truck and its driver for investigation. The injured is being treated at B&B Hospital.
