KATHMANDU, APRIL 10 The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted partly cloudy to generally fair weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with chances of light rain and snowfall in some regions. According to the MFD, during the weather will remain generally cloudy in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly areas of these provinces and the Terai of Koshi. The rest of the country will see mainly fair weather. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, and at isolated places in the Terai of Koshi as well as the Himalayan areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Gusty winds are also likely at a few places in the Terai of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. During the night, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and the Himalayan areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. Light rain or snowfall is likely at one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. According to the division, the current weather system is influenced by westerly and local winds. Kathmandu Valley: The valley is expected to witness partly cloudy conditions during the day, with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 26°C. At night, the weather will remain mostly fair, with minimum temperatures between 10°C and 12°C.
