KATHMANDU, APRIL 12 The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has suspended Nepal Police Club player Karan KC for one match and fined him 100 percent of his match fee for making inappropriate comments about a match umpire on social media. In a statement issued today, CAN said its attention had been drawn to KC's remarks regarding an umpire during the ongoing PM Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament. Following consultations with relevant stakeholders, the cricket governing body concluded that the player's conduct was against the spirit of the game and warranted disciplinary action. As per the decision, KC will miss his team's next match in the ongoing tournament.
