Chronicle 2026 Showcases Excellence in Communication and Leadership in Itahari

Chronicle 2026 – Area C4 International Speech and Table Topics Contest, held at Hotel Verandah, Itahari-6, Sunsari, on April 4, celebrated communication, leadership, and personal growth. Toastmasters, leaders, and communication enthusiasts from across Area C4 gathered to foster learning, collaboration, and excellence, underscoring the Area's mission of collaborative growth. Conducted under the leadership of Area C4 Director, Toastmaster Anju Pradhan, Chronicle 2026 reflected strong collaboration and coordination among all five clubs of Area C4, strengthening unity and shared learning across the region. Organized by Area C4 under Division C, District 41 of Toastmasters International, the event was jointly hosted by Itahari Toastmasters Club and Dharan Toastmasters Club, in collaboration with Biratnagar Toastmasters Club, Damak Toastmasters Club, and Jhapa Toastmasters Club. The clubs demonstrated exceptional planning, professionalism, and teamwork, delivering a seamless and impactful program aligned with Toastmasters' global standards. Chronicle 2026 was conducted under the leadership of the five Area C4 club presidents: Minal Tater, President, Biratnagar Toastmasters Club; Priti Agrawal, President, Damak Toastmasters Club; Parineeta Thapa, President, Dharan Toastmasters Club; Jenisha Suman, Charter President, Itahari Toastmasters Club; and Ekta Bansal, President, Jhapa Toastmasters Club. The event witnessed active engagement from all five clubs within Area C4, exemplifying unity, collaboration, and shared learning. A key highlight of Chronicle 2026 was the induction of new members from all five Area C4 clubs, signalling meaningful grassroots growth and the widening impact of Toastmasters in the region. Chronicle 2026 featured two hallmark contests mandated by Toastmasters International: the International Speech Contest (ISC) and Table Topics Contest (TTC). Toastmaster Parineeta Thapa, President of Dharan Toastmasters Club, chaired the ISC, while Toastmaster Ekta Bansal, President of Jhapa Toastmasters Club, chaired the TTC. Contestants demonstrated both prepared and impromptu speaking abilities, evaluated under globally recognized Toastmasters judging criteria focused on content, organization, delivery, and language. Janvi Khedia of Jhapa Toastmasters Club secured first place in the International Speech Contest with a compelling and well-structured speech. Neetu Jain of Dharan Toastmasters Club earned second place, while Shravya Singh Karki of Dharan Toastmasters Club secured third place. Each contestant delivered powerful speeches reflecting clarity, confidence, and impactful storytelling. Shravya Singh Karki of Dharan Toastmasters Club emerged as the winner of the Table Topics Contest, demonstrating exceptional presence of mind and articulation. Asmita Adhikari of Biratnagar Toastmasters Club secured second place, followed by Anju Agrawal Bansal of Jhapa Toastmasters Club in third place. Distinguished leaders and accomplished speakers further elevated the program. Renowned public speaking champion Johnson Shrestha inspired attendees with his insightful reflections and remarkable journey, emphasizing authenticity, confidence, and purposeful communication. His perspectives highlighted the transformative power of effective communication and leadership, leaving the audience inspired and motivated. The event was further enriched by an educational session delivered by Division C Director, Toastmaster Saroj Tamrakar, who shared valuable insights on leadership, communication excellence, and personal growth. The event upheld Toastmasters' tradition of fostering a supportive, positive learning environment where individuals step beyond their comfort zones and grow. The Academic Partners for Chronicle 2026 were Peace Zone School, Itahari and Kasturi College Itahari , while the Knowledge Partner was NELTA, Sunsari (Nepal English Language Teachers' Association, Sunsari). Their support contributed to the success of the event . Beyond the contests, Chronicle 2026 provided a meaningful platform for networking, collaboration, and mutual growth. The gathering of members, leaders, and new inductees created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and inspiration, reinforcing Toastmasters International's mission to build confidence and nurture future leaders. As Chronicle 2026 concluded, it strengthened a vibrant community of communicators, inspired emerging leaders, and reinforced a sustained commitment to learning, leadership, and excellence throughout Area C4.
