KATHMANDU, MAY 7 Vehicular movement along the BP Highway resumed on Thursday morning after remaining obstructed for three days due to flooding in the Roshi stream triggered by heavy rainfall. Traffic resumed after authorities constructed a temporary diversion at the affected section. The highway had been blocked since Monday. The District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk, has urged the public to avoid travelling along the route except in emergencies, citing continued rainfall and possible risks. The BP Highway had suffered extensive damage from floods and landslides last year, particularly at Chaukidanda, Roshi and Nepalthok areas of Sindhuli district. Reconstruction work on the damaged sections is still underway.
