Scotland set 195-run target for Nepal; Lamichhane scripts ODI record

KATHMANDU, MAY 18 Scotland have set a target of 195 runs for Nepal in the ICC World Cup League 2 match played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Batting first after winning the toss, Scotland were bowled out for 194 runs in 39.1 overs. Brandon McMullen top-scored with 73 runs off 44 balls, hitting six fours and six sixes. Michael English added 51, while George Munsey and Mark Watt contributed 21 and 20 runs respectively. For Nepal, Lalit Rajbanshi took four wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane claimed three. Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav picked up one wicket each. In the process, Lamichhane also created history by becoming the fastest bowler to reach 150 wickets in One Day Internationals, achieving the milestone in 73 matches. He surpassed Australia's Mitchell Starc, who reached the mark in 77 ODIs.
