KATHMANDU, MAY 26 Ather Nepal has expanded its presence in eastern Nepal with the opening of a new Ather Experience Center in Birtamod. The new facility, operated under dealer management of Bhurtel Energy Pvt. Ltd., was officially inaugurated on Sunday as part of the company's nationwide expansion plan for electric mobility. With the addition of the Birtamod outlet, Ather Nepal now operates 11 experience centres across the country, including five in Kathmandu Valley and others in Pokhara, Chitwan, Itahari, Butwal and Janakpur. The company said it has also established 10 authorised service centres nationwide to strengthen after-sales support for electric vehicle users. The new Birtamod centre will showcase Ather's electric scooter lineup, including the performance-oriented Ather 450 series and the family-focused Ather Rizta. According to the company, the Ather 450 series features smart technologies such as touchscreen dashboard, navigation system, AutoHold, reverse mode and multiple ride modes, while the Rizta model is designed for family commuting with features including larger storage capacity, traction control and safety-focused engineering. Customers visiting the experience centre will be able to take test rides, explore financing and exchange options, receive consultation on EV ownership and charging, and experience live product demonstrations. The company said customers in Province 1 can currently access Ather fast-charging stations at locations including 3 Degree Cafe in Birtamod, CSE Office Automation in Dharan and the Ather Experience Center in Itahari. Ather Nepal stated that it currently operates more than 40 fast-charging points across major cities and highways. To mark the opening, the company has announced limited-period offers valid until Jestha 17, including extended battery warranty, zero percent interest financing and additional exchange valuation benefits.
