RSP delegation meets BJP President in New Delhi

KATHMANDU, JUNE 2 A delegation of the Rastriya Swatanra Party led by party chair Rabi Lamichhane met Nitin Nabin, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. According to a BJP press release issued under the party's 'Know BJP' initiative, discussions focused on Nepal-India relations, democratic engagement, party organisation, grassroots mobilisation and the role of youth in politics. The BJP president highlighted the historic and cultural ties between Nepal and India and stressed the importance of strengthening party-to-party relations and democratic dialogue. The RSP delegation reportedly sought information on BJP's organisational structure, membership system, candidate selection process and grassroots outreach mechanisms. The two sides also discussed governance, public participation and the growing role of Gen Z in politics. Senior BJP leaders, including Arun Singh, Sanjay Jaiswal, Bansuri Swaraj and Vijay Chauthaiwale, were present during the meeting, according to the statement. Lamichhane is currently on a five-day visit to India at the invitation of the BJP leadership.
