RSP chief Lamichhane meets Indian Home Minister Amit Shah

KATHMANDU, JUNE 2 Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane met Indian Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday during his ongoing visit to India. During the meeting, Shah congratulated Lamichhane on what he described as the RSP's unprecedented electoral success and historic victory, and extended India's best wishes for the success of the new government. The two leaders also expressed commitment to further strengthening and deepening the longstanding and special ties between Nepal and India. Earlier today, Lamichhane had visited the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in New Delhi, where he met BJP National President Nitin Nabin under the party's 'Know BJP' initiative. According to a BJP statement, discussions during the meeting focused on Nepal-India relations, democratic engagement, party organisation, grassroots mobilisation and youth participation in politics. Senior BJP leaders, including Arun Singh, Sanjay Jaiswal, Bansuri Swaraj and Vijay Chauthaiwale, were also present.
