KATHMANDU, JUNE 2 Official Spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal today said in New Delhi that there is no role for any third party in the border issues between India and Nepal. His remarks came days after Prime Minister of Nepal Balendra (Balen) Shah sought the participation of the United Kingdom to address the long-standing border issue (especially in Limpiyadhura region). In response to media persons' queries, Jaiswal said that approximately 98 per cent of the India-Nepal border has already been demarcated, adding that a few issues remain unresolved in certain sections of the bilateral border. On May 31, PM Shah said in the House of Representatives during the question-and-answer session that it turns out that not only has India encroached on Nepal's land, but Nepal has also encroached on India's land at many places. He said such issues must be resolved amicably through table talks.
