Thailand Tourism Authority promotes new destinations in Nepal market

KATHMANDU, JUNE 5 The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), New Delhi, organized an Amazing Thailand Product Presentation in Kathmandu on Monday, highlighting new tourism products, emerging destinations and promotional campaigns aimed at attracting more Nepali travellers. The programme, held at Aloft Hotel, brought together travel industry representatives and tour operators to provide updates on Thailand's tourism offerings and incentive programmes. Speaking at the event, Khajornrit Khwanmongkol, Director of TAT's New Delhi Office, described Nepal as a growing and promising source market for Thailand tourism. He said improved air connectivity and increasing travel demand from Nepal had contributed to the market's expansion. He also unveiled Thailand's new tourism campaign, 'Healing is a New Luxury.' Thai Ambassador to Nepal, Donnawit Poolsawat, urged travel partners to work closely with the embassy to facilitate travel and strengthen tourism ties between the two countries. During the presentation, TAT highlighted destinations such as Khao Yai, Kanchanaburi, Khao Lak, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe as ideal leisure and relaxation destinations for Nepali visitors. The authority also promoted adventure tourism activities, including skydiving and hot-air balloon rides in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, alongside wellness tourism experiences in Krabi and Hua Hin. According to TAT officials, the event was aimed at strengthening collaboration with Nepal's travel trade and boosting tourist arrivals from the country through targeted marketing and incentive programmes.
