Aloft Kathmandu welcomes Chairman Marriott

KATHMANDU, JUNE 7 Aloft Kathmandu Thamel welcomed David Marriott, Chairman of the Board of Marriott International, during his recent visit to the hotel along with Rajeev Menon and other senior leaders of the global hospitality company. The delegation was received by Vikram Singh, General Manager of Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel, before touring the property and experiencing the hotel's vibrant atmosphere, contemporary design and signature Aloft hospitality. Following the property tour, the visiting team proceeded to Nylgiri Above It All, where they were welcomed by Prithvi Pande, Chairman of Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel, Pratima Pande, Managing Director Maheswor Shrestha and the hotel's department heads. During the gathering, the guests experienced the Nylgiri concept while enjoying signature beverages and specially curated culinary offerings. Speaking on the occasion, General Manager Vikram Singh said it was a privilege to host David Marriott, Rajeev Menon and the Marriott International leadership team at the hotel. 'Their visit was a memorable experience for our associates and leadership team alike. The opportunity to showcase our property and share the Nylgiri experience made the occasion truly special,' Singh said. As part of the visit, the Marriott leadership team also joined the concluding celebration of Associate Appreciation Week (AAW), an annual initiative observed across Marriott International properties worldwide to recognise the dedication and contributions of associates. The event featured a cultural dance performance by hotel associates, highlighting Nepal's rich heritage and the enthusiasm of the Aloft Kathmandu team. Associates also had the opportunity to interact directly with Marriott International leaders during the celebration. According to the hotel, the presence of David Marriott and the regional leadership team reinforced Marriott International's people-first culture and its commitment to recognizing associates as the foundation of hospitality excellence. The visit also highlighted the growing relationship between Marriott International and Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel while celebrating the associates whose efforts continue to create memorable experiences for guests.
